Over the years I have discovered some great websites and tips and tricks for keeping my family on a budget. I've learned ways to trim the corners and make ends meet. As a stay at home mom this has become the norm for me and my family. I have found ways to feed a family of four on $45 per week and ways to save on cleaning supplies and still have a nice clean smelling house. I have even discovered ways to get free seeds for my gardens (I have 5).

As an added bonus I have been blessed to live across the street from a young girl that is a few years older than my own daughter and since she is the only granddaughter she gets a lot of very nice clothes for holiday and birthday gifts. Her mother cleans out her closet to make room for her new gifts and gives me the little girl things that no longer fit and wa la, my daughter gets an entirely new wardrobe at least twice per year.

By perusing frugal websites and weeding through the maze of information I have come up with some great ideas to keep you on track with your budget and still living like royalty.

By shopping on a full stomach I am not tempted to buy food that my family does not need. By combining sales items with coupons and store coupons (sometimes you can use both so read the fine print) and comparing prices I am able to stay on budget and still feed my family quality meals.

By using vinegar, baking soda, lemons and borax my house sparkles and I save tons of money off of all of those pricey cleaners that promise you the world and never deliver!

By having yard sales to get rid of old items no longer used I can pay off debt faster and thus get even further ahead. By shopping yard sales for children's items I can save off of the pricey brand new ones (a little bit of soap and water will clean most items up like brand new) and then when my child tires of the item I can clean it up and resell it at my own yard sale thus having gone complete circle for said item.
