Over the last few years, television programs have sure taken a turn, and not one for the better. Long gone are the days of normal television programming. Now are the days when almost everything is in
reality mode. For instance, let's cram 8 washed up actors and/or actresses in an overdecorated mini-mansion, and let's see how long it takes for everyone to start ripping each other to shreds.

As long as I can remember, the personal lives of celebrities have been television worthy. The occasional scandal, the every-once-in-a-while love triangle. We now live in a time where celebrities, "A-List" or "has beens", have the opportunity to have the American public sitting in the front seat of the car...which is their everyday lives. We get the chance to watch their every move, every bad hair day, every boring moment. Not to mention the fact that some of these celebrities lives have no relevance to what's really going on in the world.

Time and time again, my intelligence is insulted by the newest "reality show". I've managed to compose a list of most aggravating reality shows...both new and a little old.

1. COPS

This show paved the way for today's reality TV. I mean really, how much entertainment can you experience while watching Billy Bob being dragged from his trailer in his long johns because he went on a drunken rage and beat up Ma again. Ha! But really, when Cops hit the scene, they opened the door to a wave of "right now" and "in the moment" television.

2. FLAVOR OF LOVE

I totally agree Cheryl. Project Runway and Top Chef are 2 of the more reputable reality shows on television. Those are 2 shows that I don't feel my intelligence being insulted every second that I tune in....thanks for the comment.

All these shows are pretty pathetic. I hope the writers strike gets settled (with a fair agreement) soon so we don't have even more of these. I do have to admit to loving Project Runway and Top Chef, though.
