Cutting Boards are an integral part of the kitchen accessories and I go crazy when I have to struggle and mess with them. I am a qualified Cook and have a passion to dice and slice veggies and meat in all the possible styles for exotic cooking and presentation of the dish. The thickness, length and size of the vegetables and meat that goes in to the recipe plays an important role and this is possible only if you have a sharp knife and good steady cutting board. Earlier I was using the Boss Cutting Boards and did not have any problem with it until I came to know about the rolling boards.

I live in a small apartment and there is not much of space either in the counter or on the table to hold too many things. So the idea of getting Silicone zone Non Skid Flexible Cutting Boards fascinated me. Going by the name, I expected these chopping boards to be fully made of silicone. But I observed that these are actually made of superior grade solid Ethylene plastic. Only the bottom of the board is fitted with Silicone that looks like a rubber to prevent them from skidding.

Having used it for more than 8 months, I am fairly satisfied with it. This does not slip and can be used in almost any surface. I find it slippery on the metallic kitchen table and hence it is advisable to use it in on any new surface before using it in full vigor. The best thing about these boards is that they can be conveniently rolled and when not in use can be safely put in the drawer. This does not leave any folding creases.

The set consists of 4 boards with different colors and are of dimension 11x15 inches. The fundamental idea behind the different colors is to use different boards for specific purpose. I find it very attractive because my mother in law a strict vegetarian and she hates to use the same board for non vegetarian items and the color coding come handy. More than that I get to know which board I have used and it is easy to wash only those without getting confused. The makers claim that different colors are for hygiene factor and I am baffled about that concept. According to them, green, red, orange and blue are for vegetables, meat, poultry and fish respectively.
