A Poet's Proverbs

1.
If you let the worry of the wolves
who are snapping at your heels
drive you forward,
then the wolves will forever be
at your feet.
2.
There is not, nor need there be,
any reason in Faith.
3.
Summer abides by no man's Calender,
nor do any of the other Seasons.
When the heat hovers over the Earth,
or Winter's icy breath chills us,
they heed to no Humans' months.
4.
Pleasure is intoxicating,
but the pains of the heart
are sobering.
5.
What the mind is unsure of
the heart can convince.
6.
Worry is a waste of time
and regret is a total disregard
of the present.
7.
When a fleck of desire has
lodged herself into your eye,
until you can blink or wipe her away-
you will be blind.
