Do you believe in ghosts? Sightings of specters are reported all over the world everyday! Here are some of the reports made from the state of Missouri by tourists, as well as, natives!

Cape Girardeau County, Cape Girardeau, Missouri

At the Missouri State University, students and faculty have complained of hearing strange and unexplainable noises, doors slamming and disembodied footsteps in the hallways. In one of the buildings, many have claimed to see free floating orbs, fleeting human-shaped shadows and the solid apparition of an old man who dissipates when approached.

Jackson County, Independence, Missouri

At the Truman House and Visitors Center, many have claimed to see the apparition of former President Truman in the living room or on the sidewalks around the house. Also, some have occasionally claimed to smell the scent of Truman's favorite brandy.

Jackson County, Kansas City, Missouri

At the Hotel Savoy, guests and employees have reported water turning on and off on its own, heard the unexplainable sounds of jazz music playing and witnessed doors and shower curtains opening on their own.

Inside of the Music Hall, patrons and staff members have reported seeing various apparitions throughout the building. Most reports say that these apparitions appeared to be real people and then they suddenly vanished into thin air, just as if they were never there to begin with.

Jackson County, Saint Louis, Missouri

At the Lemp Mansion in St. Louis, many have claimed to see the apparitions of William Lemp, Sr. Visitors and employees here have reported the sounds of someone running up the front staircase and then a loud banging on one of the doors at the top of the stairs. Many have also reported doors open, closing, locking and locking on their own. Some guests have claimed that dishes were thrown through the air by unseen hands, lights turned on or off without any help from the living and some have even claimed to hear the piano playing when no one was playing it.
