To Make This Vintage Christmas Yard Decorations Sign You Will Need:

Wood letters

2X4's

Exterior house paint

Paintbrush

Nail gun

Screws

Jig saw

Drill

Double sided screws

To get started you need to buy your wood letters. Go for the larger letters. At least 1 inches tall will be best. Remember people will be looking at your Christmas yard decorations from the car or side walk for the most part.

Now, lay your letters out side by side so they are touching. Measure how wide this is. This is how long you need one of your 2X4's cut to. Have the other two 2X4's cut to about four to six feet tall.

Now, use the jig saw to cut the ends of the two four to six feet tall 2X4's into a point.

Now, use your drill to drill small hole in the left and right sides of each letter where they touch. Predrilling this hole will keep your letters from splitting when you screw them together.

Use double sides screws to screw the letters together in a row.

Now, plaint them out in a color. Red is a great idea. Be sure to prime them first. When the primer is dry you want to use an exterior grade house paint in red.

Take the three tow by fours and assemble them into a stand. You want to lay the top piece on its side. Now, lay the not pointy end of the other 2X4's up under than horizontal piece. Pre drill holes through the top into the two vertical pieces and screw them into place.

While the letters for the Christmas yard decoration is drying you need to paint the 2X4's green.

Once all the paint is dry on your wood Christmas yard decorations you want to attach them together. Place the row of words on top of the stand. Pre drill holes through the horizontal piece into the letters.
