Each holiday season, there are a number of light displays to enjoy in southern California. Many of them feature music, entertainment, parades and a variety of memorable activities, but the most important part is experiencing the glittering, beautiful lights! Here is information on four of the best displays to visit in the Los Angeles area.

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power Light Festival

One of the most popular and entertaining holiday light displays in Los Angeles is the LADWP Light Festival in Griffith Park. The show covers a one mile stretch and has been an annual tradition for many years. There will be music and thousands of lights set up in charming displays. The festival is held in Griffith Park from November 21st through December 30th, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. From November 21 to November 25, the light show will be walk-through only. For these walking only nights, you may enter from the south side near Los Feliz or from the LA Zoo entrance. Parking will be available on either side, with shuttles assisting in bringing people to the walking entrances. From November 26 to December 30, you can drive your car through the festival, or walk. Traffic through the light show will move slowly, so you may enjoy parking and walking instead, but it will be cold outside (for California), so dress warmly!
