The Thanksgiving four day holiday weekend is a time for family, friends, and big turkey dinners. It's also the kick-off to the Christmas holiday season, the start of tree-lighting, decorating, shopping, and plenty of celebrating. The Chicago suburbs have a variety of holiday events going on for Thanksgiving weekend. Many of these parades, lighting ceremonies, holiday walks and fests are free and suitable for all ages.
