Fantasy Basketball Rankings for November: Power Forwards - Edition I
Hello, my fantasy basketball gamers. I know that a lot of you are trying to have a good start to the season, especially since many of the early goers in fantasy basketball are those who have little or
no hope left in their fantasy football leagues.
That said; let us discuss the fantasy basketball position at hand, power forwards. First, just let me say, that if a player fits both the power forward and center position, I have listed them as a center...in most cases. In the case of Amare Stoudemire, I have him at power forward for this edition, due to the fact that my league had him at power forward, however, that will probably change in the coming weeks.
In order to see what power forwards will offer the best fantasy basketball production, it is not much different for centers. They both need to give you in the paint type of numbers, which includes high field goal percentages, double-digit rebounds, several blocks and limited turnovers. The biggest difference here though, is that there should be higher upside in the scoring department. It is much more efficient to sacrifice rebounds, field goal percentage or blocks for lots of points at the power forward position, because you can also play 2 other forwards in most fantasy leagues. And because both of your centers should encompass that "in the paint game," your hustle stats should not be compromised for opting for more scoring potential.
Now, that you have the knowledge, here are you rankings for centers in November's first edition of the Fantasy Basketball Rankings for power forwards.
1. Kevin Garnett - The big man should be quite the force in Boston. Even with his 2 partners there more than likely to snip away at some of his points, he is still there only low-post scorer, and Kevin Garnett is a good as it gets when it comes to big time basketball players who fill up the hustle stats.
2. Shawn Marion - Marion is a fantasy basketball beast. He puts up over 17 points per game, shoots 52% from the field and hits about 1 3-pointer per game. Obviously, Marion is also a great hustle player and loves to fill up the stat sheet. He gets you almost 10 rebounds a game, 1.7 assists and 2 steals.
