It has been four years since Seal's last studio album, Seal IV. Since his last album, Seal has gotten married to supermodel Heidi Klum and has two young children. On his new studio album, System, Seal returns to his dance roots by releasing a mostly dance-inspired album. The co-producer of the album is Stuart Price, who also helped Madonna make a heavy dance album, Confessions On A Dance Floor. Will the general public accept Seal's return to his roots?

The first single off of System is Amazing. The song is definitely heavily dance inspired and a return to Seal's dance roots. The song is a solid pop song with a very catchy melody. The production is also solid. The song is just a happy dance track. Also on the album is the Thin White Duke Remix of the song. This version of the song is even catchier than the original. The song clearly leans heavily in the genres of dance and house.

Wedding Day is Seal's duet with his wife supermodel Heidi Klum. The song is very sweet and has many elements of contemporary R&B. The surprising thing about this track is that Heidi does not sound bad at all. Her vocals are largely background or harmonies but her vocal performance is fairly solid.

Rolling is one of the non-dance heavy tracks on the album. The song is definitely a very solid ballad. The song is solid vocally, lyrically and features a very strong melody. You can see so many aspects of Seal on this album and this is a good break from the majority of the album which is mostly dance heavy.

The Right Life is another very solid dance tracks. The song is just extremely catchy and one of the better tracks on the album. You will definitely hear this song in dance clubs around the world in the near future.

Dumb is definitely one of the weaker tracks on the album. The production and vocals are just very awkward with heavy country influences over a dance track.

Loaded features Seal singing a ballad over a dance track. The resulting track is just very different and interesting. The track is awkward like Dumb yet in a good way. The use of gun sound effects, help to transition between segments of the song.
