The Country Club Plaza
Words do not do justice to the phenomenal display that awaits you when you visit Country Club Plaza in Kansas City during the holidays. Millions of lights decorate every nook and cranny, the outlines of buildings decked in holiday lights the subject of many postcards and picture perfect images. People across America visit Kansas City during the holidays just to see the Country Club Plaza holiday lights.

There are over 80 miles of lights, spread over several city blocks, all for your enjoyment. With over 150 shops all decked out for the holidays, your family will enjoy the holiday lights, window displays while listening to holiday songs performed by the many groups of carolers who visit the Plaza during the holidays.

The 78th Annual Plaza Lighting Ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 22nd, Thanksgiving Evening between 6pm - 7pm. Every year they choose one child who will help flip the switch to light the holiday lights. The child is always chosen at random!
