There are so many decisions to be made when it comes to deciding who to support as presidential candidates. There is no doubt that it can be difficult to make these decisions because each candidate had his or her pros and cons. Of course, these vary from person to person as well. Just how does each person arrive at that "ideal" candidate?

It can be difficult, especially when people are not fans of politics. Issues voters can really have a hard time deciding at times because the media can be quite biased when it comes to information about candidates. Most newspapers and television shows will focus on only what many people consider positive aspects of candidates.

Even the papers and programs that cover controversial and perhaps negative topics can be biased.

However, the media can also help at times. This is especially true when it comes to the Internet. It is full of information about the presidential candidates. For people who are not all that interested in politics but have ideals, it is good to learn what candidates support. It is also important to learn a bit about some of the history of the candidates.

However, even after learning these things, decisions can be difficult. Thanks to the Internet, there are many different Presidential Selectors online. They can be used to help determine which candidate is the best candidate to support.

ABC News's Match-o-Matic

This selector focuses on a few main issues important to voters. There is no way to rank the importance of the issue. There are also no links to help understand the issue. The fun part about this selector is watching the animated bobble head candidates.

USA Today's Candidate Match Game

This selector is almost identical to ABC's selector. There is still no way to rank the importance of issues. The nice part about this is that the ideal candidates shown rise the amount they match with the opinion inputted about the issues.

WQAD's Select a Candidate Quiz

This selector has only 11 questions. They are not as deep as some of the other questions and issues featured on other selectors. However, on this selector, there is a way to rate the importance of the issue.

I like McCain but not that much. I want a shot at it. Will someone put me on the ballot?

Interesting sites. I think the best "candidate selector" for this next election would be to put all of the names in a hat and pick one. Great read!

Um, that's basically what all these do.

there should be a poll of where you stand on the issues and then a "Candidates that best matche your views" answer to your choices. That way, you could simply answer your choices on the issues and the program could see which candidate holds similar choices. I'll bet that most people would be surpised to learn that they are supporting the wrong candidate.
