No, not a whine and cheese party, a wine and cheese party. The whine comes later.....Here is a unique theme idea for a Jack and Jill party or a wedding couple: a wine and cheese tasting party.

If you're looking or a Jack and Jill Party theme for a small, intimate group of the friends and family of the betrothed couple, why not consider a tasteful yet classic wine and cheese party? The wine and cheese party has many options with the theme, and it can be held in your home, local intimate venue, or you can go all out and rent a local hall. Here are some ideas for hosting the Wine and Cheese Party for a couples shower, or the Jack and Jill party.

Invitation Ideas for this Jack and Jill Party Theme

Traditionally guests that attend Jack and Jill parties for wedding couples either purchase tickets, give gifts of money, or contribute in some way to the party itself. In the invitation request that each couple bring two identical bottles of wine.

Let the attendees know that one bottle of wine will be for the tasting at the Jack and Jill Party, and the other bottle of wine will be for the couple.

Host/Hostess Tip: In order to ensure that there is a wide variety of wines at the party, and for the wedding couple, include one suggested category of wine on the invitation. Do not go so far as to include a wine name with the year, as that is too restrictive for the guests.

For example, the party will need to have the following types of wine, in order to provide the complete wine and cheese tasting experience:

sparkling wine
young wines
Chardonnay
Cabernets
Medium-bodied red wines
Dessert wines

If you are inviting 12 couples, include each one of these categories on the invitations of two different guests.

Guest-Made Wine Labels for the Jack and Jill Party

As the host or hostess of the event, you will need the following party supplies for the wine bottle labels: colored or blank index cards, a hole punch, and some colorful thin ribbon.

This sounds wonderful! Anything involving good wine and cheese has to be good. Great read.
