Tyler Zeller the 6'11 220lb senior at Washington High School in Washington, Indiana is going to be a North Carolina Tar Heel next year. Tyler Zeller can play both power forward and center. He is ranked the fourth best power forward in the Class of 2008, and the 16th best prospect in the Class of 2008 by scout.com. "Zeller joins fellow five-star prospect Ed Davis and top 100 point guard Larry Drew, Jr. in the class of 2008 recruiting class for Roy Williams and company" at North Carolina.

"Rivals.com national basketball recruiting analyst Jerry Meyer said Zeller's skill set at the center position makes the Indiana native an intriguing prospect " for the Tar Heels. "The thing that makes him so attractive is the fact that he can run the floor and shoot the face up jumper so well," Meyer said. "He still has to build his body up more in order to be more physical down low but Zeller is a tough match up with his strengths."

Scout.com says Zeller "runs the floor better than anyone in the country in 2008, has a diverse skill package and his size and academics have always been attractive."scout.com.com lists his strengths as he plays facing the basket, he runs the floor, and he has a lot of potential. His weaknesses he is low block scorer and his strength. Last years as a junior he "averaged 18.3 points and 9.5 rebounds his junior season, and set a school record by shooting 68 percent from the field."

Zeller should grow stronger through his senior season, the following off season, and once he joins the Tar Heels at Chapel Hill, where the coaches will help him work on his weaknesses. North Carolina is ranked number one in the preseason associated press poll. They should highly ranked next season as the Tar Heels have only one senior on their roster. When Tyler Zeller joins North Carolina they should be very experienced, as the current team has six juniors who will be seniors if they all return. Zeller will be asked to contribute as he develops and should not have to lead the Tar Heels.
