A Child is Born
A CHILD IS BORN
Its early Christmas Day and I've spent a great Sunday with family, and friends. All of whom were a buzz with the great news of our Lord. I watched a Fire get stirred today, a fire that has been smoldering for Years. Not just in My life but in others, from the Pastor at church to the smallest of children. He truly is here, working His mojo, still healing, still teaching. He's still here kicking over tables, and cages, and cracking whips in the temples. He's kindling that fire, reminding us of His plan. AND A CHILD IS BORN.
Jesus certainly has been in the news a lot lately, with a Media hyped war on Christmas in cities, work places, and schools around the world. How could the celebration of the birth of a baby boy cause so much trouble. Reminds me of another time and place (Matthew 2:13) when Kings and Cities were afraid of a baby boy (MATTHEW 2:3). Why all the fuss, what harm could a little baby bring, poor kid he was born in a manger, a make shift barn no place else to go. Sounds like no big threat, but what do I know.
I live in the Mid-West, I did'nt see much of a damper on the the Celebration here. I still saw a great deal of decorations on houses, and in public places. I know for a lot of people budgets were strained from the summer gas hike, so I'm shure that caused an effect on most peoples decoration budgets. I still heard Merry Christmas from most cashiers, and passers by. But I heard rumors of the War in every day conversation, on every radio station, every news show, every comedians punch line.
I was prepared, waiting here in the Mid-west for the battle lines to draw closer. The past month spent meditating on His word, sharpening his sword, shineing His armor, Ready to grab up My cross and follow him.
I watched a victory today so sweet, the Hype of the War had done the same to others around Me. We all headed out to day prepared for battle, and watched Him lay blessing after blessing in the lives around us in the form of gifts, fellowship, family, and wisdom.
Praise be to the Lord, Praise be to this small child whom was born with a burden to bare for the shear love of us all.
