Transformers being one of the best movies of the year spawned a new breed of fans from across ages. What better way to get immerse in the wonderful world of Transformers than play a game of strategy and tact in these popular board games inspired by the movie. Check out this list of games good for family and friends to play in a table top.

Transformers Chess Set

A classic chess game containing a full colored chessboard and 32 chess playing pieces depicting Transformers characters from the movie. The Autobots pieces are colored gold, while the Decepticons are in silver. The pawns are represented as insignia on both teams. Each piece is embossed at its base with a symbol identifying its rank in chess. Autobots characters include Bumblebee, Jazz, Ironhide and Rachet, while Decepticons have Starscream, Blackout, and Bonecrusher. This game is for 2 players ages 5 and up.

Transformers Monopoly

A monopoly game based on Transformers Generation 1 comic books and animated series. The strategy game is focused on buying, selling and trading planets, bases, locations and transports. The package includes tokens of the most popular characters including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Soundwave, Jazz, Megatron and Starscream, decoder cards and special monopoly rules. This game is recommended for ages 8 and up.

Risk Transformers

This is based on Risk style game of world conquest with a twist. This version is set on Cybertron based on the Transformers movie. Two to four players fight to become the ruler of the Transformers' homeworld laid out in a full colored board. Characters are depicted as game pieces that can be flipped to denote transformation and having different abilities. The strategy is to conquer territories in a map, holding bottleneck locations to gain control of the whole land. Although the characters are based on the movie, the game boards names and representations was drawn from the comic book continuities. This is a game for two to four players.
