Ringing true to the V for Vendetta theme "Remember, remember the 5th of November,"Texas Republican candidate Ron Paul's supporters eagerly donated more than $4 million in 24 hours via the Internet on November 5, 2007.

Dr. Ron Paul is running for the nomination to be the Republican presidential candidate for 2008, yet the mainstream media has tried to thwart his success by brainwashing the public into thinking that Ron Paul is unelectable. Even though he has participated in every major GOP debate and gained more Internet support than any other candidate, the mainstream media has snubbed him on their networks and barely recognized his presence in the primary running. The Iowans for Tax Relief forum was the only one in which Paul did not participate because he was not invited by the host; as a result, Paul supporters held a rally next door on the same day drawing more supporters than the other candidates.

Many people say that the Internet is an invalid method of measuring a candidate's support because they believe the Internet allows for user abuse and cannot possibly show an accurate representation of Paul's supporters. The truth, however, is that because the Internet is the only uncensored popular media, it is much more accurate than any other method of measuring a candidate's support. Thanks to congressmen like Ron Paul, the government and mainstream media are still unable to control or censor the Internet, so Ron Paul's supporters are able to spread the word about the could-be American hero.

The Meetup.com site, which represents real people meeting in real places across the country, contains more meet-up groups for Ron Paul than for any other candidate. Not only are Americans excited for Ron Paul, but so are many other countries across the world. On this site alone, there are more than 72,000 Paul supporters across 22 countries and 1,127 Ron Paul groups actively meeting in their respective cities. The presidential candidates with the next highest followings on Meetup.com are Mike Huckabee with 72 meet-up groups, Barack Obama with 61, and Dennis Kucinich with 60.

Latisha, great and informative. I personally confess to being a member of the opposing party so therefore will not be voting for this person but for those on the other side it will be beneficial.
