Whether you are looking for a spectacular holiday parade or you want to revisit the days of Christmas past, Akron, Ohio, has something for you. Kick off the season with the Holiday Lighting Spectacular lighting ceremony on November 23 at 7:00 pm.

Downtown Akron comes to life with a holiday lighting extravaganza featuring music, dancers and fireworks and even a visit from Santa Claus.

Annual "Welcome Santa" Holiday Parade

This annual parade features over 60 floats, balloons, high school marching bands and Christmas characters. It runs down Main Street from corner of Main & Cedar to corner of Main & Bowery streets, continues west on Bowery to the intersection of Water & Bowery Streets. You won't want to miss the trophy presentation ceremony at Lock 3 park after the parade.

Cost: Manor and ground tour $14 per adult;
grounds only tours are $8 per adult.

Several rooms of this breathtaking historic Tudor Revival mansion are decorated to reflect this year's theme Babes in Toyland. In addition the grounds and gardens have been transformed into winter wonderland of lights with a giant poinsettia tree and holiday model train display in the Corbin Conservatory.

The Carriage House Museum Store will be open and features Art ornaments by local artists Don Drumm and Ne'Qwa and other holiday gift items. After your tour of the grounds warm up with some hot chocolate and cookies from the Cafe.
