Walt Disney World's newest major Theme Park is the Animal Kingdom.  But don't let the name fool you, it's definitely not a zoo.  The Animal Kingdom offers thrilling rides and spectacular attractions in the tradition of Disney's other major theme parks.

Animal Kingdom's newest thrill ride is Expedition Everest.  Alas, I saw it being constructed but haven't yet had the chance to ride this colossal rollercoaster myself.  But it's described as a thrilling journey through the treacherous Himalayas featuring hair-pin turns, high speeds and a massive 80 foot drop.  The mysterious Yeti guards the mountain and stalks every rider who dares enter his realm.  Expedition Everest sounds like reason enough to spend a day at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom, but there's so much more.

One attraction I did get to experience and fell in love with is Dinosaur.  Dinosaur features a time rover that sends you back 65 million years to rescue one harmless prehistoric beast.  But you'll come across several dangerous dinosaurs on your mission and experience a handful of other prehistoric hazards such as a meteor shower.  This is one bumpy, fun ride you just might want to experience twice.

I love water rides and the Kali River Rapids is one of the best.  You'll get drenched as you explore an Asian rainforest aboard a large raft on the Chakranadi River.

For a somewhat tamer experience, head over to the Tree of Life for the 3D show, It's Tough to be a Bug.  This show is just plain creepy, as the chairs help you experience a bug's life by producing smells and sensations that just might bug you out.
