Nothing screams holiday season like a light display. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the animated light displays that you can find in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina. There are two awesome holiday light displays in our area: Festival of Lights and Christmas Town. Both are wonderful displays that welcome your presence this holiday season.

Perhaps the most well-known holiday light display is at Tanglewood in Clemmons, North Carolina. It is called Festival of Lights and will begin on November 10th and run until January 1st. The Festival of Lights is one of the largest light displays in the entire southeastern part of the United States. Over one million lights and one hundred animated displays can be found at Festival of Lights. The weeknights will of course be less crowded to visit the light display and any type of vehicle from a motorcycle to a tour bus is welcome. If you visit The Festival of Lights on a weeknight, you can expect to pay $9 for cars, vans and trucks, $16 for vans, limousines, mini buses and other commercial vehicles that carry 25 passengers or less and $80 for a motorcoach or bus carrying 25 passengers or more. If you visit the park on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday or holiday you can expect to pay $13 for cars, vans and trucks, $21 for vans, limousines, mini buses and other commercial vehicles that carry 25 passengers or less and $80 for a motorcoach or bus carrying over 25 passengers. Hayrides and horse drawn carriage rides are also available for guests to rent out. There is a gift shop with a concession stand at the barn that is half way through the light display. Most nights Santa Claus will be available for the children to visit with.
