The Dangers of Household Cleaners

We spend more time in our homes than we do anywhere else. Our homes are where we eat, sleep, and spend time with our family. This is why it is so important to keep our homes clean and free of germs and bacteria that can make us sick. There are literally thousands of house cleaning products on the market today, all claiming to kill 99.9% of germs or bacteria or whatever. In theory, this is great; however in reality, these products kill germs because they themselves are toxic chemicals that will basically kill anything.
Using commercial cleaning products is probably one of the worst things that you can do for your family's health due to the resulting indoor air pollution, in addition to the chemical residue left on your counters and surfaces. Did you know that nearly 80% of the chemicals found in everyday cleaning products have not been tested for long-term effects? By using these products, you may very well have a clean house today, and possible cancer in the future.
The toxic fumes that you breath in from these products could be one of the main reasons for the headaches, fatigue, body aches, soreness, tiredness, and a number of other common ailments that most all of us experience.
Stop contaminating your home with toxic cleaning products. Many safe alternative forms of cleaning products can be made at home. They are natural, safe, and far less expensive than commercial cleaning products found in your local supermarket.
Below are a few simple products that can be added to your cupboard that can clean just as effectively as the store-brought brands, without the toxicity.
Vinegar.
Vinegar is one of the most versatile products that you can have in your home. By placing vinegar in a spray bottle, it can be used as a window cleaner, fabric softener, odor eliminator, grease remover, tarnish remover, stain remover, and disinfectant. As an air or fabric refresher, vinegar can remove pet odors and smoke odors. It can be used to remove calcium and lime build-up, clean the fish tank, and as a spray starch for ironing.
Baking Soda.
