Heavenly Sword Walkthrough Part 5: The Battle of the Flying Fox

Welcome back to the Heavenly Sword walkthrough and I hope you're prepared for the most intensely boring battle of the game. A flying fox will appear in front of you and he will be your main foe, although you can't touch him until you fight off the three waves of soldiers he sends after you. The entire time you'll battle these enemies, the boss will not stop talking and it will more than likely be aggravating, so kill the enemies as quickly as possible to get him to shut up.

Once you've destroyed all the sets of attacking soldiers, your real fight begins in Heavenly Sword. This battle is essentially like any other back and forth combat style from any game you've ever played. Fox will attack you with a power or speed attack, and you need to pick the appropriate counter and use it. Now that it's your turn, evade him and use any combo you wish to use from the back side of his body. Stay evasive throughout the fight especially when he tries to use his combo so that you can evade to behind him and start your own.

After the fight has begun to wear down and the majority of his health is gone, you'll see the Circle Button appear on the screen in Heavenly Sword. You need to rapidly press it and then perform the long set of key presses to finish him which are: Circle, Left, Rapidly Tap X, Right, Up, Up, Square, Up, Square. Make sure you get this right or the boss will restore nearly half his health and you'll have to get it back down again. However, if you do it correctly, the battle will end in a tie and you'll need to exit outside to continue your journey.

Your objective now is the same as what it was before you got caught up with other priorities in Heavenly Sword. Nariko needs to find Shen and you're going to the prison to look for her. Run over the bridge and to the area that has a waterfall, and then begin to look for a gold pot that is slightly hidden. Smash it and grab what's inside so that you can make your path up the stairs while you evade crates and dead bodies. Upon reaching the top, destroy all those pesky foes with power combos and counters until the area is enemy free.
