How Clean is Washington State's Drinking Water?: An Investigation
I live in a small town, just like most small towns, between big cities in Washington state. I like the atmosphere, the people, the small town feeling I get when I drive down the street. Recently I turned on the faucet for a drink and to fill up my dogs water dish only to discover a strong odor of chlorine. I thought it was me, after all I had just done a load of laundry, the dishwasher was running. So I never thought about it as I continued filling up her dish. I sat the bowl down in its usual location and my dog, being very thirsty because of the look I got from her as I was filling it up, sniffed it and walked away. Perhaps that was the sign I needed but disregarded it. My dog is pretty smart. Her senses are impeccable like most dogs. But this was different. She kept swallowing and licking her doggie lips as to say when are you getting my drink, MA! So I left it there, content on showing her who was the master and who was the pet. I didn't even think about it, asserting dominance in this tug of war for superiority. Perhaps it was because we were in a new place, so I let it go.
