There is a definite something of a café or bistro feel to Apartment 138. Mostly locals eat here, so it is a great place to people watch the New York set out for a bite to eat late at night. In a city that never sleeps, people watching become a whole new game after 1:00am. One of the best things about Apartment 138 is that there does not seem to be a wait to get a table late at night. They offer up late night diners their bar area and dining room both upstairs and downstairs. Most people were crowded into the bar area while I was there, so this might be the place to sit if you like to be in the mix of things. Personally I love eating late night food in a restaurant that feels like it is all mine, so I thought the dining room was great!
