Discover the beauty of braids.
If your hair is at least shoulder length, you try out one of this year's most popular looks by braiding your hair. Try making one long elegant braid in the back for a sophisticated, professional look or do a cute braid on each side of your head for a casual, more youthful look. If you have the skill, give French braiding a try. If you feel like you're all thumbs when you attempt to braid your hair, consider getting a braiding instructional book to guide you through the process.
Go bohemian with hair accessories.
With the hippie look being so popular in dress, you can play up the 1960's look by wearing a bandana as a head band or adding a headband decorated with flowers reminiscent of the flower child of the 1960's .These look great worn with a peasant blouse, a bohemian skirt, and other hippie attire.
Sport a dressed up ponytail.
For a convenient and beautiful hairstyle, scoop your hair back into a loose pony tail with some tendrils left hanging around your face for a soft, sexy look. After securing your ponytail with a coated ponytail holder, wrap a few strands of hair over the holder to cover it up. You can also cover the pony tail holder with a pretty scarf or buy a decorative ponytail holder or barrette. Develop a whole wardrobe of ponytail accessories and you can sport a new hairstyle on a daily basis.
Add some loose waves.
If you're tired of straight hair, why not add some long, loose waves? You can do this by rolling your hair on large rollers when wet and then removing the rollers when dry. Another way to add interesting looking waves and kinks is to use a crimping iron. This flowing hairstyle is perfect for the bohemian fashions that are so popular this year.
Add some lift to your hair.
