If your family does not participate in many fun activities, try coordinating a mandatory color scheme for the holidays. It is easy to implement and does not require much organization other than a simple agreement and thorough understanding. Wearing similar colors is one of the most fun Holiday Wardrobe Ideas for the Family. Everyone will look like they belong and it will be just as coordinated as family reunions. Families that contain a lot of twins or triplets may find this holiday wardrobe idea to be very exciting. This does not mean family members cannot be individuals. It is just making sure that everyone wears the same color to create a festive holiday gathering. Your family can wear all red, yellow, all white, nothing but blue or a combination of colors. This will also make for great photos that create find memories of this holiday season. Babies and young children should be included in this decision as well.
When choosing a color, it is important to select one that most if not all family members own. Deciding on a color that many people do not own will cause relatives to spend money unnecessarily. This may create problems in other areas as time goes on. If relatives are spending more on the right colored Holiday wardrobe, they may have less money when shopping for gifts. That means that you could end up getting a cheap pack of socks instead of that expensive perfume that you wanted for Christmas.
Make sure that most family members have on main wardrobe item that fits the chosen color. This should be a dress, pants or shirt. The few relatives who do not own the chosen colors can borrow items to wear or purchase an inexpensive wardrobe from the store. Your relatives who love to shop will not have a problem with this task. If someone is having difficulty with cash flow, offer to purchase their wardrobe as a Christmas gift for this year.
