These Syndicated Shows May Get You Through It

It goes without saying that the writer's strike is going to have a big impact on the television viewing habits of people world wide. From reruns of our favorite shows to the mock-Presidential cam
paign of Stephen Colbert, the strike will reach far. Already, shows like The Office and 24, among many others, have been forced to suspend production. But do you have to be left without quality entertainment, while each side fights over who's entitled to more money? Not at all, Now is a great time to pick up the remote and find those great shows that are looping for you on cable networks around the dial. Tired of endless episodes of Friends, Seinfeld, and Everybody Loves Raymond? Here are a few other titles out there to help you get through the strike.

The X-Files
I spent a long time trying to fill the void in my life when this show was canceled by Fox and it wasn't until Heroes starting airing that I felt I finally had that. Sure, the producers sort of rushed us through the final season in order to fill in the gaps, but the true fans didn't care because it brought closure, even if there were two extra agents who didn't fit the story. For those of you who would like to renew your search for proof of alien existence, other strange phenomena, or government conspiracy to cover it all up, Sci-Fi is airing episodes twice a day, once at 5:00pm to catch up with those returning home from work, and once at 2:00am for those that have to wait until the rest of humanity is asleep to get your inner nerd on. The best reason yet to dig back into the files, Fox announced last week that the second feature film's script was finished before the strike and is slated to be released in theaters on July 25, 2008.
