Ghostly Travelers

There are many different stories that have been told over the years about Ghostly Travelers. The stories may be different in some ways but one thing they all seem to have in common is that these ghostly apparitions are all travelers who travel a short distance with people and then simply disappear.

These spirits have been reported of being associated with all types of transportation like on roads, boats, planes, trains, buses and the stations associated with these modes of transportation. Reports of the ghostly travelers date back as far as the 1600's in Europe and Russia. Reports of ghostly travelers are still being made to this very day.

There was a terrible plane crash of flight 401 Eastern Airlines Tri-Star jetliner in December of 1972 into a swamp in Florida. 101 people were killed in the crash two of which were Bob Loft the pilot and Don Repo the flight engineer. There have been more than twenty reports on different occasions of Bob and Don being seen on planes that have been fitted with the parts that had been salvaged from the wreckage of flight 401. People who have seen Bob and Don said that they were extremely lifelike.

Another ghostly traveler has been reported on a stretch of road were a young girl has been seen hitchhiking for a ride home. People have reported that they have stopped and picked her up to give her a ride home. She gets in the car, the driver asks "How far are you going?" and she replies "just up the road and across the train tracks to my house." They drive up the road, they come to the train tracks and drive over them and then she just disappears into thin air.

One minute she is there and the next minute she is gone. Some people say that she is the spirit of a young woman who was walking home one night and was hit by a car and killed. The driver of the car didn't stop so they never knew who killed her and that's why her spirit is still trying to get home. So be warned that if you are every out on a lonely road and you see a young woman hitchhiking think before you stop, should you? She could just be that lonely spirit still trying to get a ride home.
