Have you seen ladies wearing the high-waisted, Desperate Housewife-like dresses, or the ladies and gents rockin' plaid pants and shorts? Did you think they were fashion challenged? According to what's
seen on the runways around the globe, they are actually fashion forward. The brands we love are taking us to fashions our parents rocked in the 70's with a twist of 06 flavor. Let's look into falls most prominent trends by some of the worlds most popular designers.

Plaids made a presence on the runway by designers such as Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors, of "Project Runway," in various shades of brown, bright blues and rich reds. The plaid trend is actually more prominent in men's clothing than women's.

Back to the ladies, Vera Wang takes us on a journey into the classics with flowing dresses that create movement and elegance. Her romance themed line reminds us of why she is the queen of the wedding dress.
BCBG dresses will also be high-waisted with clean lines this season. The designs are cinched in at the waist creating an hour-glass shape. The line is also filled with color and flirty silhouettes. Bold purples, greens and blues are the current shades that will bring your outfit into the fashion forefront.
Calvin Klein brings a more casual and professional appeal with wide-legged trousers paired with vests and form-fitted sweaters in blacks and reds.

But I can not leave without giving credit to Kimora Lee Simmons and her incredible line of Baby Phat shoes. Thanks to Kimora, your earrings won't be the only thing blingin' in your wardrobe. They will be the high fashion show stopping accessories to any outfit and they are not that expensive, generally ranging from $60-$120 for a pair of her diva pumps.
