Loyal
A Poem
My shadow, my protector,
Maps our voyage.
A pair in tandem,
Moving, sharing,
Waiting for candles in the dark.
And when that night comes
Opaque and alive with force,
Alone I dare not speak your name.
Alone I fear all things.
Yet you are there,
In my thoughts before I know them,
And we move on.
