How to Get Your Wife to Watch Football with You

Another Sunday has come and if you are like most guys this means lots of football. With new offers from companies like Direct TV, it is possible to see almost every football game that is played on Sunday. Unfortunately most women are not excited about watching football. Maybe you would like to have your wife watch some games with you. It won't be totally easy but here are some ideas that might help her sit down and watch the game with you.

Remind her that she will be spending time with you. If your wife is like mine, she is often complaining about not getting to spend enough time with you. What a better way to do this than watching a football game. For three hours she will be able to hang out with her man. Sure you will be into the game but you can also give her some attention. Remind your wife of this and see if it gets her attention. She might be willing to put up with the game if she can have some of your time. She might even learn to like the game.

Explain to her how the game works. Most women don't like football because they don't understand it. They view the game as just a bunch of guys running around hitting each other. Explain to her how the game works and it's rules. Give her some insight as to the strategy that is involved. If she understands this, she might actually become interested in the game. I've seen women who've become more interested in the sport than their man once they learn and understand the game.

Buy her some Team merchandise. Do you have a favorite team? If so you probably have a jersey, a hat or some other team merchandise. Why not buy some for your wife. She will love the idea of you both dressing up by putting on your team jersey to support your team. She will like even more that you thought of her and did something for her without being asked. What woman could say no to watching the game with you after you have bought her something new, without being asked?
