Political analyst Earl Ofari Hutchinson says that the O.J. Simpson Las Vegas robbery and assault case still racially divides Americans. He's the walking, talking epitome of the seemingly eternal racial divide in America.

The instant Las Vegas police slapped the cuffs on him it was as if time stood still again. During the murder trial a majority of whites raged that Simpson was a murderer and they were horrified that he might waltz away scot-free. Their worst fear was realized. Meanwhile, the same polls showed that a majority of blacks raged that Simpson was victimized by a racist criminal justice system and prayed that he'd be acquitted. They got their wish.

Hutchinson contends that O.J.'s Las Vegas escapade has changed nothing. The same polls, the same questions slanted in black and white, and the same predictable result. In a September Associated Press-Ipsos poll the overwhelming majority of whites said O.J. Simpson would get a fair trial but still thought he was guilty. The majority of blacks said just the opposite.

The Simpson case punched too many social, racial, and emotional hot buttons for it to ever slip to far off the public radar scope, Says Hutchinson, Simpson in a Las Vegas docket insures that.

Over the course of the trial, Bill spent endless hours with O.J., keeping him informed and getting his input. Generally speaking, public belief about the Simspon/Goldman murders is EITHER that OJ did it (and probably had help to get rid of some of the evidence)OR that there was a police conspiracy to frame OJ, and the the rue murderer is either unknown and unknowable or connected to the police conspiracy. visit http://www.pavelic.us

Never fear black entourage! Jury nulification can work again and this black criminal may go free, again. A victory for those who fight justice rather than fight for justice. You reap what you sow and your culture continues in a spiraling decline.

I wish O.J. would just go away.

He truly was not wise in using the gansta approach to regain his stolen property; but even the guy he was trying to rob his stuff back from declined to press charges; knowing he should have just returned the stuff. I wonder what would happen in the USA if the government would get rid of Old South Jim Crow definitions and black people became "white" or "mixed" because I doubt there is any pure bred African/American, unless they were born and immigrated to the US way past slavery days.

The crime did not fit the profile of abusive husbands that murder spouses, which did make the case seem typical racial bigotry. That the judge allowed evidence obtained without a search warrent made the evidence itself suspect. I was not aware that their was a racial divide on the robbery. If a body were not convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was indeed guilty of the first crimes; one would be less likely to judge him harshly in the 2nd incident. He lost rights to his book, that might have brought him money to survive, being ruined by the civil lawsuit.
