With all of the talk in the mainstream media it seems apparent that our Presidential candidates in the 2008 election will be Rudy Giuliani and Hillary Clinton. The major news networks are determined to have these two candidates force fed to the public. The general consensus with the voting public is, "If these are the candidates, then I will have to choose the lesser of two evils." Of course, in this situation it may not be so easy to decide which candidate to vote for.

According to a new Washington Post poll, Americans are not happy with the direction that the country is moving in. Americans are looking for drastic changes from the Bush administration's policies. This includes the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as immigration and many other failed policies, and endeavors. However, the Democratic Party is not really doing much to change the direction of the country even after gaining control of the House and Senate.

It was the hope of the American people that a Democratic majority would hinder the President's authority, but on the contrary, it appears that the Democrats are hamstrung by a President, that under normal circumstances would be considered a "Lame Duck" so close to the end of his second term. I find it hard to believe that after all of the rhetoric espoused by the Democrats leading up to the mid-term elections that they would so easily kowtow to the President on issues that they claimed to be so vehemently opposed to. That is unless; they secretly have every intention of going along with the administration's policies.

I Cannot Decide Which Candidate is Less Evil, Rudy or Hillary

Bush's little puppets make it difficult to figure out which one is less evil.

Alycce: The next President, be it a Republican or a Dem, is going to inherit the "monarchy" and try to advance it. Cheny's philosophy is that the Congress has grown too powerful and does too much to tie the hands of, rather than merely check, the Executive Branch, especially in matters of war. I don't agree with his methods of trying to fix that problem, but I do agree that he is correct.___Great writing, Nick, and unless Ron Paul is nominated (yeah, right!), I will be abstaining from voting again next year, as I refuse to vote for evil no matter from which major Party it comes.

Funny, my husband and I had this conversation this morning. :-)

I enjoyed reading your article. I, too, am not sure who is the lesser of the two evils. Giuliani I am deadset against voting for and Hillary seems way too scripted for me. I like Huckabee, but I don't think the will get the nomination. As a Democrat, who is disillusioned with both parties, I actually prefer a woman in the White House, but not Hillary. I like Obama, but I doubt he'll get the nod. So, I guess we are stuck with Rudy and Hill, and with the mess with Bernie Kerik, Rudy's former sidekick, I think it may very well by Hillary Clinton in the White House.

PS: I agree that a vote for either is a vote for the continued Bush monarchy, which is bad for democarcy. I do not know that either is evil, just misguided. Cheney is evil and Bush is psychotic.

If you are correct and those become our choices, simply write in the candidate of your choice. With mostly congress approval, Bush's appointment of Hans von Spakovsky to the FEC does not bode well for a non-corrupt election. Pity the US that people like David McDivitt can vote for a gestapho like USA. Rather than wringing hands in fear and assuming the two are favorites, remember polls don't vote. Get out and campagin for your candidate and get others registered to vote.

And i think that a female president is an altogether bad idea to begin with. But that's a story for a different time... Haha. I'm with you on this one: i hate them both. They scare me. The funny thing is that i hate them for completely different reasons than you: you say they're like Bush's pupets; well i've enjoyed Bush's presidency, and i prefer him to both the "republican" who supports gay marriage AND abortion, and the democrat, (who's a woman!) who can't make up her mind about ANYthing.

Great article...I don't think Hillary is the right one for a women president.

Great article! I have heard a lot of people mention the possibility of what Kim just mentioned! I would love to see a woman president in office, but unfortunately, I don't think that Hillary is "the one." I would love to see Edwards win, but we all know that probably won't happen.

it is the end of all humanity! Gore, yes Gore, wins the next presidential election. he unites a portion of the people, and God spares Earth, or.....Someone else wins, and in 2012, 12/21, those of us that can no longer live an honest life, treck to the four corners to await our orders. remember that old thing in the Bible about blood to the knees? we are in a sad world, shame on them ALL!the wrath of God is a righteous indignation, just look at our tyrant, his power, and all those waggin their tails for some of the bone, which is meatless. THEY RUINED AMERICA....i better stop now....nice 1 Nick!

Here is another scary thought...Hillary gets the nomination and asks Obama to be her running mate...or visa versa. Could have been planned all along. Try to wrap your brain around that possibility. Great article.
