Customer's Head Explodes While Trying to Reason with Cashier

Today in Haines City, Florida a customer's head exploded after several minutes of trying to explain to a cashier why she should be able to use two coupons on Buy One Get One Free sale items. The customer, Mrs. Sue Phillips was rushed by ambulance to the trauma unit at Haines City Community Walk-in Clinic. There were several witnesses to the event , which happened at a local Winn Dixie, and I was lucky enough to interview one of them. Becky Nesmith was still in a state of shock but, was able to provide a blow by blow description of what happened.

"It was absolutely unbelievable!" said Ms. Nesmith. "I was in the next lane over when I happened to hear voices being raised in frustration."

"The cashier was saying that the lady couldn't use two coupons on BOGO items. The poor lady was trying to explain that if she was buying two items she should be able to use two coupons."

Ms. Nesmith went on to say that the debate seemed to escalate from there with the cashier saying that the customer was getting one of the items for free and the customer explaining that, in truth, she was not getting it free since she had to pay for the first item. She told the cashier that it was more like getting each item for half the price and so she could use both coupons.

According to Ms. Nesmith activity at all the register lanes came to a halt while customers and employees alike stopped what they were doing to see how this would end. The customers that were in line behind Mrs. Phillips picked up their groceries and moved to different lanes since it seemed that neither Mrs. Phillips nor the cashier, who is not being named to protect her from other couponers, were going to budge.

"They were going back and forth and then all heck broke loose." claimed Ms. Nesmith. "First the lady's face turned red and then all of a sudden, boom!, her head just exploded! The last thing I heard her say was something about the company getting reimbursed for the damn coupons."
