Near Whitman Mission is where I found the location that allowed the two bandits to spot the posse a mile back as stated in W.C. Jameson's book. My research panned the whole distance of the thirty mile trip between Wallula Jct. and Walla Walla.

Here is where I feel that the bandits were captured, east of Whitman Mission near Wallula Ave.
Now after doing experiments on the speed of horses, and calculating the most likely distance traveled while the horses were lathered, I came up with the Whitman mission area. Here, at a specific location, I got that view which enabled me to see back towards the west, for approximately one mile. I quickly traveled to the area that I could see, and, lo and behold, A pile of horse shoes, at a shoe repair. This was a magnificent coincidence. A tall tale sign of ghost-spirit communication? A representation of the posse chasing the two bandits?

After finding those two locations, I was drawn to the most likely place they were captured, and another freaky happenstance occurred. At this location, the owners of the property had statue like people made of chicken wire in the garden. One sat in a chair, painted red like it was all bloody. The second was near the road with its head bent forward like it had a broken neck. It was ten feet from a rope hanging from a tree. The two men were beat and hung, so this effigy like experience, started to open my eyes to the spirit aid I was getting. This location had that chain like noise I heard as a kid. That particular day, as there was a well drilling outfit doing a well, I recalled that noise I could always hear.
