The question of how God will judge the people of the earth is littered with more differing opinions than there are religions in the world. The prevalent belief is that God will judge us according to how we lived our lives. It is believed that God will take into account the good things we have done in this life, as long as they outweigh the evil things we have done. Now, I am not going to deceive you into believing that I do not have a bias in this matter because I am a Christian. However, can we determine what will happen to those that do not accept Christ as their Savior?

It is explained to Christians by Paul that we are not to judge those that are in the world. Those that are in the world are for God to judge alone. However, we are told that those that do the law, which do not have the law, have the laws of God written in their hearts. The fact of the matter is that God knows the hearts of man and that is how he says that he will judge those in the world. By the way, this also answers the question of if somebody has never heard the Gospel. That is the reason why we do not know who will be saved, because of the infirmity of our flesh, we are not qualified to judge anybody to condemnation.

I can tell you that I would not be willing to judge any man, simply because I am not innocent and at one time, I did not believe, so how can I condemn a man of what I was guilty of at one time. Now, I can say that I believe that when I appear before the throne of the Almighty God, my legs will lose all of their strength and my mind will reel from the experience, and I will fall to the floor with no strength left in me.

Excellent! This is exactly why I try to never judge anyone. Not only do we not know why people do certain things, but we don't even know for sure (only God knows) whether their methods or ours are correct. Sometimes they can both be correct. That's why I always put everything in God's hands. Only He knows what is right and that might even be different for different people. God works in mysterious ways. :-)

Wonderfully written piece. Truth be told, despite my Christian beliefs, every day I must remind myself not to judge others. I struggle with that at times. Well done article.

BTW Jeff, I used to say exactly the same things you say now. But strange things have a way of happening. I see much promise in you. Do you know that the Lord prefers you to be either hot or cold towards him and not luke warm. We seem to be at two polar opposites of the spectrum, but the only one that has room to change is you, and you will, by the grace of God, and then you will become a testimony to the strength and mercy of the one true God. I already prayed for it. Talk to you later Brother ;-)

I do not understand why people cannot see that it is a picture of Bush burning the Constitution and that I am no fan of this administration. As far as how God will judge them, I only hope that he has as much mercy on them as he has on you and me. o===[=======>

How do you think your "god" would judge the folks in your icon?

I enjoyed reading this and I agree...God will judge the individual hearts. Thanks!

I know the "every knee shall bow, every tongue confess" line, but I don't buy it. I don't beleive. But I would add, should I be wrong, the very thought of bowing to such a truly despicable being I find repugnant. And to worship a god that by his own admission would torture his creations forever is also repugnant.

Great job Nick....The Bible tells us we have to get the log out of our own eye before we can get the speck out of our brothers.

Very insightful and well written Nick. You summed it up perfectly in your last sentence with "God will judge the hearts of each man". Great piece.
