For the past 2 years I have searched on Craigslist, Yahoo, CareerBuilder and Google for a legitimate work from home job for a company that is legitimate.

During the past 2 years, about 98% of the jobs I found proved to be not genuine.

The process of locating a work from position would begin by answering ads I found online. Online there are many work at home offers such as, envelope stuffing, ad reader, data entry from home and many surveys. Many ads that I responded needed cash in order to proceed with the program.

Next, the prospective companies would ask me to send money either by Money Gram or Western Union. Some would ask for $5, some $25. One company in particular stated that I could work for them but the initial cost was $399. I do not have an extra $399 to donate to anyone, no less a crooked operation.

Last week, I continued to search for ways to earn extra income from home in particular marketing positions which is what I do professionally.

I searched Google and of course went through all the same survey ads, condo and travel package sales from home, timeshare sales, etc.

I was at the point of giving up when I saw an ad in Google, which read, "The Telecommuting Answer Lady.com Work at home mom - hopeful."

I said to myself this is interesting because there were a ton of other ads from this company, one in particular said, "Act Quickly; Signup for The Telecommuting Answer Lady Newsletter Now and Get Instant Access to the Data Entry Kit (a $20 value) for FREE!"

I kept thinking to myself of course, somewhere here there is a gimmick or money will be asked for.

I clicked the site and saw that it was a Work at Home for Mom online site. I was immediately put at ease especially since there was a really nice looking young mom wearing glasses.

I let my guard down a little but crooks today are very good. I was in no mood to become another easy mark. Could this be a scam? I've seen people get scammed by pictures of nice looking ladies only to have their bank account emptied.

I proceeded with caution but kept noticing the cute mom with the glasses.
