The Death of Yahoo 360: A Failed Social-Networking Site

Yahoo 360 is dying a slow, agonizing death. For anyone who is not familiar with Yahoo 360, it was Yahoo's answer to MySpace. It was for adults, however, and you were supposed to be 18 years old to be able to join. I started writing on Yahoo 360 in the summer of 2006. I had heard about blogging, and wanted to give it a try. I knew someone who was on Yahoo 360 and thought this would be a good way to keep in touch. This turned into a train wreck of epidemic proportions, but that is ancient history. However, I found that I liked writing so much that I began writing every day. My original objective was to detail my internet dating life for all to see, without mentioning names. It became a bit of a problem when guys found out about the blog. No one wanted to get "blogged" as they put it. I would often go out with someone and they would ask me not to blog them. By this time, I had a lot of "friends" and readers. My blog was something a bit different - I used my real name and real life experiences. It was an online journal with no holes barred.
I liked writing so much on Yahoo 360 that someone suggested I start writing for Associated Content. My first articles were all about internet dating. They were accepted and I got money. Say no more, I was hooked on Associated Content. I then began to use my 360 page as a way to draw readers to my Associated Content articles.
Throughout the past year and a half, I have met some real nice people on 360. I have also met some real weirdoes. One, in particular, stalked me to the point of having the FBI involved. Read "I Was Stalked On The Internet" for more details on this.
