That piece of glass

Sits before me.

I'm here for my daily fix.

I have to see that person

Reflected back.

I have to learn who she is.

Maybe I'll know her one day.

I see my mother in her.

But I don't see how,

Because the features are all different.

All wrong.

Sometimes I see a happy mouth,

But weary eyes.

There's pain within those swirls of

Green and brown.

But those eyes are far from dead.

Maybe I'm foolish

To trust that glass

So wholeheartedly.

What if mirrors lie?

If I keep checking,

Keep looking,

I'll be okay.

Because the image remains.

Unchanged.

Proof.

I like this one. Reminds me of how sometimes I think that my reflection doesn't really fit my peronality. Not that I really know what my personality is because I think people change and find out new things about themselves all the time. "I have to learn who she is" I'm always trying to learn new things about myself. "I see my mother in her. But I don't see how, Because the features are all different." Yup, reminds me of me alot.
