Holiday Train Excursions and Scenic Train Models in Indiana

Santa Claus will be riding the rails in locations throughout Indiana this Christmas Holiday season. Holiday train excursions and scenic train models are festive events enjoyed by children and adults alike. Following are some holiday and Santa trains in Indiana this season.

Polar Express by Whitewater Valley Railroad. Whitewater Valley Railroad, in partnership with Rail Events. Inc. (through Warner Brothers Entertainment In.) brings the only officially licensed Polar Express event to to the Greater Cincinnati, Dayton and Indianapolis Metro areas. The excursion train is based on the holiday movie, "The Polar Express", which stars Tom Hanks

The Polar Express departs from Connerville's Grand Central Station and journeys through the countryside to the "North Pole". Santa Claus will be on the train to visit with the passengers. Guests will be served hot chocolate and cookies.

The Polar Express pulls into the "North Pole", Santa Claus and his helpers will be waiting to greet each child. The Polar Express promises to be a memorable event for children. This special holiday train is scheduled to run November 16,17, 23, 24 and 30; December 1 , 3, 7, 8, 9, 14,15, and 16. There will be a total of 25 excursions during the two month period. Tickets are $26 per Adult and $16 per child. Call 765-825-2054 for additional information.

Santa Train by the Indiana Rail Road. The Santa Train is a Christmas Season gift from the Indiana Rail Road and employees to the people in the towns along the railroad line. The train brings Santa into town. Children and adults have the opportunity to board the train and visit with Santa Claus. Santa brings along some of his friends, including Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Mr. and Mrs. Snowman and Christmas Mouse. The Santa Train is a free event.

Santa Claus Express at Whitewater Valley Railroad on November 23, 2007. Board Santa Claus Express at Grand Central Station in Connersville. Santa will visit with each child on the train.

This sounds like it would be so much fun for kids. Wish we had something like this around where I live. All we have is the little train that goes around the park.
