Jennifer Garner graces the cover of Glamour's December 2007, Women of the Year issue. Grace is just the word for Jennifer Garner. The 35 year old actress entered the acting scene only 10 short years ago. In that time, she has skyrocketed to stardom, best known for her lead role in
Alias.
Born April 17, 1972, in Houston, Texas, Jennifer was raised in West Virginia by a chemical engineer and English teacher. Initially, she entered Yale to study chemistry. It was there she discovered her love of stage. True to her life philosophy, Jennifer Garner left Yale to pursue her passion. She began her career with an acting gig in New York.
It's little wonder that she has risen to stardom. She is a tenacious woman. Despite her career's slow start in Dead Man's Walk; a made for T.V. movie, Rose Hill; and a short lived television drama, Significant Others; Jennifer began to gain attention when she moved from Significant Others to Felicity.
In the meantime, Jennifer Garner hooked up with her first husband Scott Foley. They married in 1998, but divorced by 2004.
Garner continued to hang on to her dreams of the big screen. She starred in another short lived T.V. drama, Time of Your Life. Then, in 1999, she played Ashton Kutcher's girlfriend in Dude, Where's My Car? From there she had a small role in the blockbuster Pearl Harbor. Jennifer Garner's career was launched. She found a niche in the television series Alias, playing CIA agent Sydney Bristow. Jennifer Garner burned up the screen in playing the tough, hot CIA agent. Pearl Harbor and Alias gained a strong fan base for Jennifer.
Additional credits to date include: Catch and Release, Daredevil, 13 Going on 30, The Kingdom, and Juno. Juno is a quirky, comedic-drama to be release December 5, 2007. Jennifer Garner plays an adoptive mother. She and her husband, played by Kevin Kline, plan to adopt the baby of a 13 year old, Juno. Juno is the story of a young girl trying to find herself and navigate life's questions and difficulties.
