Fantasy Football Predictions for Week 11: Tight Ends
Jeremy Shockey had quite the day in Week 10, rendering his fantasy owners happy that they drafted him. His 100+ yards of receiving was the first time he eclipsed the century mark since 2005. As for the rest of the tight ends in the league, there was not too much fantasy point production from them. H
owever, let's hope that changes in Week 11.
Here are you Week 11 Fantasy Football Rankings for tight ends.
1. Jeremy Shockey, New York Giants vs. Detroit Lions - Yes, I know it sounds like I'm riding the big game, however, I've had Shockey on my fantasy team all season and he has done pretty well through out it. And then there is the fact that he is playing the Detroit Lions who just can't defend the pass at all. The Lion's only redeeming quality on defense is that if their wonderful defensive line can get to Eli before he has time to make his throws then they can cover up their poor secondary. However, Eli has looked good at getting rid of the ball this season, and coincidentally enough, Shockey has been one of his safety blankets in situations where he is throwing to hot routes. Expect a big fantasy point day from the Giants tight end.
2. Heath Miller, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New York Jets - On a team that historically loves to run the ball, they sure are getting a lot of touchdowns from the quarterback position. Big Ben has accounted for 9 touchdowns in the last 2 games, 8 of which were via the passing game. Heath Miller has been the beneficiary of this air it out attack and that won't change against the Jets defense that has not covered anybody in a long time. I expect Miller to work the linebackers of the Jets pretty well. The Jets could try to put Kerry Rhodes on him, but that is unlikely to happen due to the deep threats of Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes. Miller will have another great receiving day, and there is little reason to think otherwise.
