Make your old CDs come alive again by turning them into some beautiful homemade Christmas ornaments. You may have some old CDs that are just taking up space and instead of throwing them away turn them into Christmas ornaments. Homemade Christmas ornaments are always a welcome addition to the holiday season and old CDs already have a layer of shiny silver on them to work with.

Just hanging the CDs on the tree the way they are can make a flickery light show when you turn on the Christmas tree lights. As the CD is hanging from the Christmas tree it wave a little making the light that hits them dance in the Christmas tree.

Who wants to have a Christmas tree covered in old CDs. You can change the CDs so they no longer resemble a CD. You can put decorations on the edges of the CDs like glitter or tinsel to cover the CD and mask their true identity.

The back side of a CD is a great place to paint a picture or personalize the CD. Make a picture of a beautiful winter scene or a holiday symbol like a snowman or angle. Print someone's name on the CD to personalize the ornament. Then you can take your creative CDs and give them to family and friends as small Christmas presents. Homemade Christmas presents are special because you put love into it.

You can disguise a CD even more by cutting the CD with a sharp scissors. You can cut the CD into many different shapes like a star or a Christmas tree. You can paint the CD after you cut it to make it look like anything you want. You can even glue the CDs together after you cut them into snowmen or Christmas stockings. The possibilities are endless as to the creativity you can show with your homemade Christmas ornaments.

You don't have to hang these ornaments on a tree you can hang them in a doorway or on a balcony. Homemade Christmas ornament made from old CDs can make a great Christmas ornament for your locker or car. Christmas is a great time to celebrate and the more you can decorate the more merry Christmas can be.
