Anybody can mow a lawn and most people can trim a tree, but how many people can produce imaginative landscaping designs that draw appraising looks from neighbors and passers-by? Before you say it couldn't be you, think again. With a little research into landscaping designs, your garden could be completely transformed. Steps to Instigate Landscaping Designs
To begin with, it's important to consider your surroundings. No-one wants their house to look at odds with the rest of the neighborhood. Similarly, no-one wants their house to blend in so much that it's completely unnoticeable. You need to find a happy medium.
The majority of people choose to feature a tree in their garden or yard. If it is larger, then naturally, more trees spaced out, will fill the area nicely without making it look like it's become an orchard. Likewise, flowers are a popular option, though if you wish to plant them at the base of a tree, it's important to make sure enough sunlight passes through the leaves for them to survive.
A common problem that amateurs of landscaping designs face is grass not growing under dense trees due to lack of sunshine. In order to compensate against this problem, mulch can be deposited around the base of a tree, which looks nice and is very practical. Mulch from cedar, which has a lovely reddish hue, is often placed in an area of direct sunlight, so fades with time, however under a dense tree where sunlight does not reach, it retains its color.
Other practical yet aesthetic plants are bushes, which most landscaping designs comprise. By planting several bushes you can maintain a certain degree of privacy, though to stop them growing wildly and unevenly, regular trimming is necessary.
It is important to consider the weather of the area in which you live when considering your landscaping designs. Obviously weather that is less volatile over the course of the year, will result in a garden which is easier to maintain.
