Matchbox Twenty announced that they will be embarking on a tour that spans over a course of two months and hits 33 cities nationwide. This is the first time the band has toured together in over four years as frontman Rob Thomas focused on a solo career supporting his record Something To Be. This will also be the first time the band travels in four instead of five as the former lead guitarist left the band in 2005.

The tour is being launched in support of their newest release Exile on Mainstream, which is a compilation of their greatest hits and features six new songs. The new songs include the recent single "How Far We've Come." Produced by Steve Lillywhite, the album is much more raw in comparison with previous records and boasts a more live sound, which will make the record fun to play for the band and fun for fans to enjoy. Exile on Mainstream came in at No. 3 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums after it's October 2nd release date.

The tour begins on January 25th at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL and ends in Las Vegas. However, they're not going out on the open road alone. Nor are they going with just one more act. They've brought in two openers, Alanis Morissette and MuteMath.
