Heavenly Sword Walkthrough Part 9: Back to Bow and Arrow Basics

Nariko is standing in front of the greatly weakened Whiptail in Heavenly Sword, and it's time to do the dirty deed. After you've knocked off around 95% of the enemy's health, stand near her and press the Circle Button and wait for the Square Button to appear on the screen before you tap it and finish the kill sequence. Give yourself a mandatory pat on the back because you've just finished up this chapter and you're on to chapter 3 of the game.

For the next part of the game, you're going to get used to playing as Kai quite a bit in Heavenly Sword. As you make your way through Bohan's fortress, the only thing you'll be able to do is push enemies and hop over objects, along with the use of your nifty bow. Head over to the middle of the bridge and prepare yourself for attack. As enemies rush to you, you have two options being shoot them up close, or use your after touch arrows.

After you've taken out all the seemingly stupid enemies, you have a new objective with your bow. Line yourself up behind any flaming torch and look ahead for a red barrel. If you can't figure this part out in Heavenly Sword, I'll give you a hint. Shoot your arrow through the flame into the barrel while it's still on fire to cause an explosion that opens the doorway. Run to the gaping hole you've just created and you'll be face to face with an armored enemy. The only way you can kill this guy is by using a headshot, so use after touch from distance or wait until gets close enough for you to do it the old fashioned way.

Once your foe is dead, head out of the area into the next building where you'll be ambushed in Heavenly Sword. Although the room you're in is quite large, there's not enough room to perfect an after touch shot, so wait for your enemies to get fairly close to you and unload on them. If you do happen to see that one of these guys is about to strike you, simply roll back and get back up take the easy bow shot. After you've devastated the ambush plan and the room is cleared, walk over to the next room and open the metal gate that leads to the next area in Heavenly Sword by using the wheel lever.
