Visit the Superb Hill Station of Spity in Himachal Pradesh of India

The time has now come in India to visit the non conventional hill stations rather than standard conventional hill stations in view of great rush, crowd of people, and the pollution due to the modern amenities in standard hill stations. Spity, situated in the State of Himachal Pradesh is one such hill station that can give you the taste and feel of the virgin Himalayan beauty.

Spity is situated at the height of around 12500 feet from the main sea level. The entire region is very cold. There is less rain and more snowfall here all through the year, particularly during winter. This hill station looks totally different due to the high mountains range, slopes filled with the most beautiful farms, and the lush, thick, and the green forests. You can reach Spity from Manali by road, in hired car, taxi, or the bus. Spity is around 80 miles from Manali on National highway 22. The Buddha religion is the main religion here. That is why we observe many gompas and the maths here. The tourists can visit this hill station during short season of summer from May to September. The remaining period of the year is not suitable for visit in view of severe cold and the snowfall. There are couples of hotels here to stay. Hotel Himachal International and Hotel Green are the two main places to stay. These hotels provide two star facilities at the rate of around Rs.2400 ($60) per day for a double room. You will have to take your meals in these hotels only as there are no good restaurants available in Spity. These restaurants serve local, native food in Punjabi style and are generally very spicy. Make sure to specify your requirements while ordering your meals.
