Traditional anniversary gifts are rarely given these days. Following the guidelines of traditional anniversary gifts can be a creative way to give your anniversary gifts each year. Here are the traditional anniversary gifts for years 21 to 30 of marriage, and some ideas for gift options.

st Anniversary: Brass, Nickel. Brass and Nickel are the traditional gifts for a 21st anniversary. Furniture items accented with brass or nickel would make nice gifts. White gold jewelry is nickel plated so it would work well. Also, if there is a musician in the family, consider musical instruments since most are made with brass or nickel components.

nd Anniversary: Copper. Copper is the traditional gift for a 22nd anniversary. Unique copper jewelry, copper pots and pans, and copper home accents are all ideas for this anniversary. Also remember that copper is contained in many foods!

rd Anniversary: Silver plate. Silver plate is the traditional gift for a 23rd anniversary. Apparently when you get to your 23rd year you're strapped for cash! Any silver items will work for this anniversary including jewelry, housewares, or anything that has the color silver.

th Anniversary: Musical Instrument. The new traditional gift for a 24th anniversary is a musical instrument. There is no real traditional gift for this year (and several of the subsequent years) since traditional gifts typically start going by fives after this time. A great idea for this gift would be tickets to a concert, a CD collection, or an MP3 player.

th Anniversary: Silver. Known as the silver anniversary, silver is the traditional gift for a 25th anniversary. Again, any items in silver color would make a great gift for this notable year.

th Anniversary: Original Pictures. The new traditional gift for a 26th anniversary is original pictures. This one can be interpreted many ways. You could do photograph gifts, gifts of DVDs, or a night out to the movies.
