I have never been a fan of gingerbread, nor have I ever liked the scent. When I came across a Temptations trio gift set with the newest winter scents from Bath and Body Works I was excited to try them all out. The trio included Sugar and Spice in a 6 ounce bottle. I had a hunch that this would most likely be the only one in the set that wasn't 'to die for' according to my standards. Sugar and Spice comes in a clear plastic bottle, so you can easily see the burnt orange colored gel inside of it. The label has hand drawn pictures of gingerbread men on it. The photo right away gave me the impression that this was going to smell like gingerbread cookies.
The Actual Scent:
Although the bottle gave off the impression that this gel would smell like gingerbread, it actually didn't. To me Sugar and Spice smelled more like a mild caramel scent mixed with sugar cookies and vanilla. The overall scent was pretty good, but the label sure had me fooled into thinking this was going to smell like a realistic gingerbread cookie. I'm glad though, that it didn't.
Sugar & Spice is a 3 in 1, which means it can be used for a bubble bath, a shower gel, or shampoo.
Sugar & Spice produces a fair amount of bubbles when you use it as a bubble bath. The bubbles though fizz out and disappear in about 10 minutes or less though, so it sort of sucks when it comes to producing a luscious bath full of bubbles.
When used in the bath though, it will leave your water scented, which is always nice. Soaking in this scented bath water is great because the Sugar & Spice scent stays with you for awhile after getting out of the tub.
Sugar & Spice also produces a nice silky luscious lather when you add a few drops to a bath net . I liked using Sugar & Spice as a bath gel, but the scent did not last on my skin at all after getting out of the tub to dry up. Most Temptations 3 in 1's don't leave any detectable scent behind after using it as a shower gel. It was no surprise that Sugar & Spice didn't either.
