PREMPRO: Low-Dose Hormone Replacement Therapy

Like oral contraceptives, PREMPRO is a once-per-day dosing formula that should be taken at the same time each day. Available in a variety of estrogen doses, your doctor will most likely begin your HRT on the lowest dose possible, increasing the dose only as needed to manage your menopausal symptoms.

As with any FDA approved hormone replacement therapy, the use of PREMPRO, in managing menopausal symptoms, does not come without side effects. Most common side effects reported with PREMPRO use include headache, nausea and vomiting, stomach or abdominal pain and even hair loss. In many cases, these side effects will dissipate as your body becomes adjusted to the HRT usage.
